It’s the start of term — with all the extra work that entails. And on top of everything else, your head of department tells you that you need to get to grips with a new online grammar resource called Tense Buster. Where will you find the time to do that?
Teachers are the key to effective self-access, as Julia Ker of the University of Surrey explains here. If teachers are enthusiastic about a program, that energy will transfer itself to their students. That in turn will result in higher levels of usage and better learning outcomes. But with everything else on their plate, it can be difficult for teachers to find the time to locate a new program, open it and really familiarise themselves with it.
Here’s a shortcut: a four-minute video highlighting the way the program works and the thinking behind it. Simply copy the link and paste it into an email to colleagues, a whatsapp group or your learning management system. It’s effective and a great time-saver.
